Project Overview

  • This project involved designing a company profile website to serve as the official digital presence of DCKTRP DKI Jakarta — providing the public with clear access to service information, agency performance data, structural profiles, and media documentation of agency activities.
  • As Lead UI/UX Designer, I handled the entire design process independently — from concept development and information architecture, to wireframing, visual design, and mockup production — supported by the agency's publication team for photography and video assets.
  • This website marked a significant upgrade from the agency's previous digital presence, bringing a more modern, structured, and professional visual identity.
  • The site has been live since early 2025 and is currently being further developed by my team members within the agency.

Role & Scope

  • Served as the sole designer across the entire project — covering concept, content structure, UI design, prototyping, and final mockup delivery.
  • Collaborated closely with the publication team for photography and video content to ensure all media assets aligned with the overall design direction.
  • Maintained direct communication with agency leadership to ensure all content and design decisions met institutional standards and expectations.

Background

  • DCKTRP DKI Jakarta previously lacked a modern, well-structured digital presence that could effectively communicate the agency's services, performance, and activities to the public.
  • Existing information was scattered and difficult to access, making it challenging for citizens and stakeholders to find relevant service information efficiently.
  • The agency needed a website that could serve as both a public-facing information hub and an institutional credibility asset — clean, professional, and easy to navigate.

Problem Statement

How do we design a modern company profile website that effectively communicates DCKTRP DKI Jakarta's services, institutional identity, and agency activities — while remaining accessible and informative for a wide range of public users?

User Flow

To understand how users navigate the website, a user flow was created mapping the primary visitor journey — from the homepage through to specific service information and contact points.

Wireframes were developed to define the content hierarchy and page structure across all key sections of the website before moving into visual design.

Final Design

  • The final design presents a clean, professional aesthetic — combining a strong hero section with the Jakarta skyline to immediately establish a sense of institutional authority and civic pride.
  • Content sections are clearly structured to guide visitors through the agency's profile, services, performance highlights, gallery, and consultation services in a logical, easy-to-follow sequence.
  • A consistent visual system was applied across all pages — ensuring that any future pages or sections added by the team maintain the same look and feel.

Result & Impact

  • The website launched successfully and has been actively used as the official digital presence of DCKTRP DKI Jakarta since early 2025.
  • Centralized access to agency services and institutional information that was previously scattered across multiple channels.
  • The design system I built was trusted and adopted by the internal team for ongoing development — proving its clarity, scalability, and ease of handoff.
  • This project demonstrated my ability to independently deliver a full institutional website from concept to launch, working directly under agency leadership with minimal supervision.

Reflection

This project reinforced the importance of designing for institutional clarity — where the primary goal is not visual spectacle, but trust and accessibility. Government audiences expect information to be easy to find, honest, and well-organized. Balancing those expectations with a modern, visually engaging design was the core challenge of this project — and one I found genuinely rewarding to solve. Seeing the website actively used and continued by my own team members afterward was a strong validation of the work.

Future Improvements

  • Integrate a real-time performance dashboard pulling live agency data — reducing manual content update efforts and keeping information consistently current.
  • Optimize page loading speed and overall performance, particularly for users accessing the site on limited mobile data connections.
  • Strengthen accessibility compliance to meet Indonesian government digital standards and WCAG guidelines.
  • Develop a fully responsive mobile-first version of the website to improve the experience for smartphone users accessing the site on the go.
